Anyone living in the Mississippi delta can soon understand the desire to travel to far away places.

 

I’ve always appreciated science fiction in its’ various forms. I am an avid reader, movie buff, and I love to travel. So, when I moved to the Mississippi delta in 1990 I began to look for better and improved hobbies. In 1993 I rediscovered Science Fiction in it’s concentrated form (a SF convention). Luckily I fell into a Literary convention where I could catch a few ZZZ’s in the movie room.

 

I would travel to lots of cons in different cities and would tend to get the same response “We didn’t know there was fandom in Mississippi”. I sometimes was known as the Mississippi fan or “THATGUY”. There are other good fans in Mississippi; and, I have always tried to meet them and say hey!

 

 

 

You can catch me around the card tables at many of the Southern SF cons. I’ll be the One winning though!
